2020 Entry Form

The British Poultry Council is calling on retailers, foodservice operators, farmers, producers and suppliers to enter the fourth annual British Poultry Awards. These prestigious awards provide recognition to those who are producing the very best of British poultry across the industry.

There are 12 trophies to be won, including categories for chicken, turkey and duck products on sale all year round and seasonally, plus the coveted Poultry Retailer of the Year and Foodservice Operator of the Year awards. In addition there are two supply chain categories aimed at any company within the poultry industry such as feed, veterinary, technology, logistics or training businesses.

Please complete all the area of the online form you wish to enter. You may enter as many products as you like free of charge. Each entry form submission is limited to one product per category, but you can enter more than one category at a time. For instance, if you want to enter a product into Best Seasonal Chicken, Standout Poultry Launch and Best Turkey Product, just expand each of those category boxes and fill in the details before pressing Submit.

If you want to enter multiple products in a single category, for instance 5 different duck SKUS in the Best Duck category you will need to submit them one at a time.

RULES, TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR ALL RETAILER & FOODSERVICE AWARDS

All entrants must choose a category, complete entry details using the criteria. Information supplied on the entries will be used as contact details.

Deadline for entries: Friday 22nd May 2020

There is no limit to the number of entries per company. You may enter more than one product per category but you must complete a new form for each entry.

Individual products may be entered into multiple categories where relevant.

All products must be British meat.

All products must have been available to buy during the period June 2019 to May 2020. Products in development stage are not eligible.

There is no cost to enter. You must have at least 2 samples available for judging, should your entry be successfully shortlisted.

Once your entry has been received, it will be logged and you will be emailed in early June if it is successfully shortlisted for judging.

Judging takes place on Friday 3rd July by an independent panel. Delivery instructions will be provided for shortlisted products.

Two samples of each product are required for all Retailer Product Categories as judges need to see packaging and also a whole sample to be cooked for tasting.

Samples are not required for the Foodservice Operator category, but a visit to a restaurant or pub site to taste dishes may be required

One sample is required in correct packaging and with full cooking instructions for the Foodservice Product category. Delivery instructions will be provided for shortlisted samples.

All products must be presented in correct packaging and with full cooking instructions for judging.

The organisers reserve the right to change the categories and judging panel without prior notice.

The British Poultry Awards will not be held responsible for information that has been submitted incorrectly.

Winners will be announced at the British Poultry Awards black-tie dinner on Thursday 1st October 2020 at the Sheraton Grand Park Lane London. Tickets cost £175+vat per person and includes drinks reception, 3-course meal with wine, after dinner entertainment and live band. Charity fundraising on the night.

There is no cost to enter.

The entries will be paper judged by an independent panel put together by the British Poultry Council.

Judges’ decision is final.

Entries may be submitted by supply chain companies themselves, or be nominated by a poultry producer.

The innovation described in the entry must have been put into practice from January 2018 – present.

What data do we collect?
We collect the following data when you complete and submit an entry form to The British Poultry Awards
Personal identification information, such as name, email address, telephone number
Details submitted by the user on the nature of your business
Product or service details submitted by the user.

How do we collect your data?
The data that is supplied to the British Poultry Council and The British Poultry Awards is provided by the user in the completion of awards entry forms. This process is voluntary from the user and no data is collected without the submission of a complete entry form.

How will your data be used?
The data supplied by users in the form of entries to The British Poultry Awards will be used for direct liaison with the user over their awards entry. The data supplied by the entrant and the entrants details itself will remain confidential to The British Poultry Awards and it’s judges, this data will not be shared with any third parties.

Storage of data
When you complete an entry form on the British Poultry Council Website the details you submit are entered into a database. This database, along with one or more backup copies, is stored on computers that will be physically located in the UK. Unless you tell us when you complete the entry form that you don’t wish us to contact you in future, we may use this data to inform you about updates of your awards entry. Your data will be kept for the duration of the relevant years British Poultry Awards.

Data Security
Appropriate technical and organisational measures have been taken to protect the data we store from access by unauthorised individuals or organisations.

Information sharing and disclosure
The British Poultry Awards will not sell or rent your personally identifiable information to anyone. Details regarding your entry will only be shared with select personnel who are responsible for judging The British Poultry Awards.
